Valcor Group

Questions, answered.

Everything clients ask before hiring Valcor: licensing, armed and unarmed coverage, deployment, accountability, executive protection, and concierge staffing across Los Angeles.

Company & Services

Valcor Group operates two divisions. Valcor Security provides armed, unarmed, residential, and mobile patrol officers plus executive protection, all BSIS-licensed and trained on a continuous schedule. Valcor Concierge provides hospitality-trained front-of-house and lobby staff for luxury residential and commercial properties.

We serve the greater Los Angeles area and Southern California, including West Hollywood, Beverly Hills, DTLA, Hollywood, Westwood, Brentwood, Bel Air, Santa Monica, Marina del Rey, Culver City, Pasadena, and Burbank. Custom deployments available throughout the region.

Residential and HOA communities, hotels, corporate and business centers, religious institutions, special events, and CCTV-monitored sites, plus armed and unarmed vehicle patrol. We also provide executive protection.

We are veteran and federal law enforcement owned, and we run security as a managed operation rather than a staffing service: threat assessment, a written security program, trained officers, and leadership accountability on every contract.

Email office@valcorgroup.com or use the contact form below. We respond within 24 hours on business days. Initial consultation is at no cost. Contracts follow a written proposal and site assessment.

Yes. Valcor Security covers residential estates, apartment and HOA communities, commercial and retail properties, healthcare facilities, warehouses and logistics yards, places of worship, schools, hotels, and events, with executive protection for individuals. Valcor Concierge staffs front-of-house positions for residential and commercial buildings.

Licensing & Compliance

Yes. Valcor Group Inc. operates under California BSIS licensing, PPO #122608, which covers our security operations, and carries comprehensive general liability and workers' compensation insurance across both divisions. Certificates of insurance are available on request once a client relationship is established.

Yes. Valcor Group Inc. operates under California BSIS Private Patrol Operator license PPO 122608. Every officer is registered with the State of California, and the company is licensed, insured, and bonded. Certificates of insurance are available on request.

Yes. All armed officers hold current BSIS guard cards and firearms permits issued by the California Bureau of Security and Investigative Services. Exposed firearm permits are maintained for visible armed posts. Concealed permits, where applicable, are held by qualified officers assigned to posts that require them.

Every officer completes BSIS registration, a criminal background check, in-person interviews, and mandatory drug screening before assignment. We vet for reliability and judgment, not only availability.

Officers train to an internal standard built on military and federal law enforcement protocols, with ongoing structured instruction beyond BSIS minimums. Armed officers complete additional firearms and use-of-force training.

A guard card is the BSIS Security Guard registration required to work legally as a security officer in California. It requires completing the state's mandated training, passing a Department of Justice and FBI background check, and registering with the Bureau of Security and Investigative Services. Every Valcor officer holds an active registration, verifiable through the public BSIS license lookup.

Senate Bill 652, effective January 1, 2026, restructured the initial 8-hour training: it must now be delivered and certified by a single BSIS-approved provider, includes an in-person component, and the certificate expires for application purposes six months after completion. The full obligation remains 40 hours, with 32 additional hours completed in the first six months of employment. Our SB 652 article covers what this means for anyone hiring security.

A Private Patrol Operator license is the BSIS license a company must hold to provide contract security services in California. Valcor Group Inc. operates under PPO license 122608, listed in the footer of every page and verifiable through the state's license search.

Armed & Unarmed Security

This applies to our Valcor Security division. We staff armed posts with BSIS-licensed officers carrying current firearms permits, and unarmed uniformed posts for standard coverage. The right configuration depends on the site, threat profile, and client preference. We make the recommendation based on an operational assessment.

Yes. We provide both armed and unarmed officers, matched to the threat assessment for your site. Armed officers hold the required BSIS firearms permits.

Unarmed officers provide professional presence, access control, and de-escalation without carrying firearms. They are BSIS-licensed, uniformed, and trained for a wide range of commercial and residential posts. Armed security is reserved for environments where a visible armed deterrent is part of the protective posture.

Yes. Unarmed officers are trained in de-escalation, access control, and incident response. For any situation beyond their scope, including violence, medical emergencies, or crimes in progress, officers follow a strict escalation protocol: secure, report, call LAPD or appropriate authorities.

Armed officers operate as licensed private security, not in place of law enforcement. Our incident protocols require immediate notification of LAPD or appropriate authorities for any threat-of-life incident. Officers are trained to secure, report, and support, not to substitute for sworn response.

Yes. Valcor provides both standing armed coverage and short-term event, visit, and threat-window deployments. Short-term assignments are scoped against a specific objective with a defined start and end date.

Yes. We provide unarmed coverage on standing schedules, overnight shifts, part-time posts, and event-based deployments. Coverage configuration is defined in the written contract and post orders.

Three things: they are supervised by a dedicated Division Manager, they operate under written post orders, and they are trained continuously. Many unarmed security providers offer warm-body coverage. We operate as professionals.

Armed rates are higher than unarmed due to licensing, insurance, and training requirements. Pricing varies by post configuration, hours, location, and contract duration. We provide written proposals after a site assessment.

Operations & Accountability

Standard deployments are typically scheduled within 48 to 72 hours of contract execution, for both security officers and concierge staff. Emergency and short-notice coverage can often be arranged same-day depending on requirements and availability. Contact us to discuss timing for your specific need.

Coverage is managed through a strict call-off and supervisor escalation protocol, so posts stay filled. Officers are tracked through our geofence system for real-time accountability.

Coverage is managed through a strict call-off and supervisor escalation protocol, so posts stay filled. Officers are tracked through our geofence system for real-time accountability.

Officers follow client-specific post orders and company protocols, maintain detailed activity logs, and are GPS and geofence tracked during shifts. Site checks are conducted on a regular basis.

Every client has direct access to leadership, not a call center. You get a dedicated point of contact who knows your site and your requirements.

Officers clock in through geofenced GPS at the post. Off-post activity is flagged, every shift is logged, and clients receive geofenced timecards with each invoice as documented proof of coverage.

Executive Protection

It starts with a threat assessment that defines the scope. From there a detail can include close protection officers, advance work on venues and routes, secure transportation, and coordination with venue or residence security. Coverage is sized to the assessed risk rather than sold as a fixed package.

Most executive protection work is low-profile and plainclothes by design. Armed coverage is provided where the threat assessment supports it and the assignment is staffed with officers holding current California firearms permits. The goal is the lowest profile that still meets the risk.

Yes. Details are built around the principal's itinerary, including domestic and international travel. Advance work covers each leg: airports, venues, residences, and routes, and our leadership has run protective operations across the United States and overseas.

Time-sensitive details can often be staffed within a short window after an initial threat conversation. We scope the assignment, confirm coverage, and deploy. Standing protection is set up after a fuller assessment and planning cycle.

Valcor Concierge

Use the contact form on the Valcor Group site or email office@valcorgroup.com. Share your property name, type, and what you need, and we will follow up during business hours.

Careers

Yes. Open positions and applications are handled through our Indeed company page, linked from the application section below. We look for experienced security operators with current BSIS credentials, though we also consider qualified candidates new to the field.
