Service Area

Security and concierge in Marina del Rey.

Waterfront apartment communities, hotels, restaurants and docks in a county-owned harbor, plus the neighboring Venice and Playa Vista. Coverage written for the agency and the hours at each address.

The Area

A county harbor between two city neighborhoods.

Marina del Rey is unincorporated Los Angeles County, not part of the City of Los Angeles. The county owns the harbor, which has slips for about 5,000 boats, and its Department of Beaches and Harbors manages it. The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department polices it from its Marina del Rey Station. Next door, Venice and Playa Vista are in the City of Los Angeles and fall within LAPD's Pacific Area.

Properties here mix residential, hospitality and the water: large apartment communities along the basins, hotels and restaurants on the waterfront, docks and gangways, and public parking that serves beach and harbor visitors. Posts cover the building and the edges where the property meets the water and the public.

Valcor runs coverage in Marina del Rey today.
